More than two dozen people were rushed to hospitals in eastern Pennsylvania on Tuesday following an apparent carbon monoxide leak at a day care center, officials said. John Christopher of the Allentown Fire Department said 25 children and eight staff members were evacuated from the Happy Smiles Learning Center. Parents picked up a few of the children and said they would handle their medical care, he said, while the rest of the children and the staff were taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
